At Acorns Health Care, we know that great support is about so much more than meeting day-to-day needs. It’s about building trusting relationships, helping people achieve their goals, and supporting every individual to live a happy, meaningful life.

Our specialist team works together to support the people we care for, their families and our staff. By sharing knowledge, listening, learning and working in partnership, we continue to provide high-quality, person-centred support every day.

Family Liaison

Our Family Liaison is here to build positive relationships with the families and loved ones of the people we support.

Families know their loved one better than anyone, and we believe that working together helps us provide the very best care. Our Family Liaison offers a friendly point of contact, ensuring families feel welcomed, listened to and involved throughout their loved one’s journey with Acorns.

How we support families

  • Open, honest and supportive communication.
  • Guidance with care planning and important decisions.
  • Regular updates about service developments and helpful information.
  • Opportunities to share feedback and ideas.
  • Support during transitions, reviews or significant life changes.

Our aim is for every family to feel informed, valued and confident that their loved one is receiving compassionate, high-quality support.

Positive Behaviour Support Lead

Our Positive Behaviour Support Lead works alongside the people we support, their families and our staff teams to help every individual live a fulfilling and meaningful life.

Positive Behaviour Support is about understanding why behaviours happen and working proactively to improve communication, wellbeing, independence and quality of life. By understanding the person, not just the behaviour, we create happier, safer environments where people can thrive.

Learning & Development Lead
